“The cup is named after Arthur Boswell, a former President of the Club, who in its early days when there were doubts whether it would survive, was instrumental in finding enough members to keep the club going.

His son, Arthur Boswell junior, made the presentation. Arthur and his wife Chi also provided a lovely after-match buffet.

The Club is very grateful for his generosity and his readiness to make a long journey to be present on a day honouring his father.”

Congratulations to Julie Rouse, Derek Walker and Sarah Carter who are the winners of the Arthur Boswell 2025 Championship.

It was a glorious afternoon to play bowls and an enjoyable time was had by all those who took part.

Thank you to Arthur and Chi for providing  lovely buffet after the games and a thank you to all those who organised the event.
